About the Role
Pistosis is looking to hire a Senior Java Engineer to join their talented Product Development team. As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be part of our continued improvement and growth of our HR and payroll software solution. Youll be embedded on a development team where you can work on the next generation of internet software where youll get to work directly with other Engineers, Software Testers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Directors, all of whom make up the team. In this highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to grow as a software engineer, and help mentor others. The Java Engineer position requires excellent object-oriented programming skills and knowledge of design patterns. The job requires you to be able to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications at the enterprise level. We are looking for a software engineer who is passionate about programming and truly enjoys what they do. The ideal candidate for the Java Engineer position is someone who has a can-do attitude and is an innovative thinker with the ability to communicate effectively with BAs and Quality Engineers, as well as work closely with other team members are key components for success in this position.
Requirements
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
5-8 years of direct experience in software development using Java/J2EE, Spring or other Object Oriented programming languages
2+ years of HCL Commerce development using technologies such as IBM WebSphere Administration, Search server/SOLR, JSP, EJBs, JSTL, data models etc.
Experience working in HCL Commerce v9 container based architecture is preferred
Experience with core software/applications IBM MQ, IBM DB2, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Eclipse IDE, Spring Tool Suite, and Subversion
Experience with web technologies JSON, SOAP/REST, Groovy, Ansible, Spring, XML Experience developing with JavaScript, CSS and HTML
Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices including Agile, continuous integration methodologies, and project lifecycles models
Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to provide 24 X 7 support
